Were we just a little bit test when you made your post. Perhaps you should contact your shrink and have a talk about your temper. Oops! he's off vacationing in the South Atlantic and is a Globalstar subscriber so you can't, bummer.
I don't know who you people are working with but the global business community that relies on constant, up to date information, where every minute is valuable does not concern themselves with a few dollars on the phone bill. Being out of touch for any amount of time could cost thousands or in the case of larger deals possibly even millions.
Sorry but I was a little too busy to spend my time with my eye pressed to the globe. It is pretty simple to just look at it and see all those vast expanses of water.
As for further financing and possible dilution, Iridium is already fully funded with several hundred million available over and above their projected needs. I believe that I laid all of that out in an earlier posting. On the other hand the most recent info. that I have seen indicates that G* is still short of full financing. Although I will admit that they were close enough that it did'nt really matter and may have since completed it.
Yes, I* did have to go with 14% on their bond issue. However, it was done in an entirely different business climate than existed at the time of the G* bond issue. According to WSJ on the day of the issue all bonds presented for sale that day experienced difficulties. G* was forced to pull their bond issue completely on their first attempt due to lack of interest.
Maurice:
Cyberstar is in fact using 3 geostationary satellites. However, they are also teaming up with Alcatel and their Skybridge system which will have LEO's and therefore be in potential competition with G*.
