War is abhorrent to the American psyche. It is so abhorrent many of us are willing to wait until people like Saddam, Osama bin Laden, and Hitler get real power before we are willing to fight. This being a bit stupid, President Bush has chosen to have a little fight now and then rather than a big long one. That doesn't mean he (or we) likes war. It means we hate it enough to do something meaningful about it.
