Your two sentences don't make sense together. You should pick one. If it would not be surprising if we capture Osama then apparently we haven't committed so many resources to Iraq that we've lost all our momentum in fining Osama.

Well, who really knows in this era of black budgets and other shenangigans what we're really up to? I do know that we didn't go after Bin Laden immediately, and that once we were finally hot on his tail we were sidetracked by our War with Iraq. So, it appears we haven't made an earnest effort to find him. But, appearances can be deceiving, perhaps we have been looking for him all this time and he will be produced on October 30th, just in time for the election, that wouldn't surprise me at all. I have read that the Bush Admin is putting financial and political pressure on Pakistan to come up with Bin Laden before November. Who knows? It will be quite a story though if Bush luckily pulls Bin Laden from hiding in late October. We'll have to see what happens.

Despite the political ramifications, I do want to see Bin Laden in custody, we could all breath a little easier.
