Interesting link re the SBVFT book Unfit for Command, and B&N....It is wonderful that the book is so much more in demand than any of the booksellers dreamed.

Noticed a couple of things:

1) Not anyplace in the article was any note about the 527's from the Left, which have funded MILLIONS of dollars of ads, and many, if not most, of them, bashing Bush. (see opensecrets.org, and 527's...You can even see what ads moveon.org paid for, and how much they cost. Most are $500,000 or more! Not the puny little bit of $154,000 for the SBVFT 1st ad.

2) Note in the note where they said what Bush said---which BTW, is not a quote...no quote marks.... This sentence implies that Bush was against this ad only, when in fact, he said he was against ALL of the 527 ads, and in fact, that ALL 527's should not exist. Campaign Finance Reform was to have 'fixed' the problem.

The Repubs didn't do much of anything about forming 527's of their own, as they thought they were illegal. Didn't stop the Dems. More than 85% of the 527's today are for the Dem causes....

Many veterans have come forward to support the U.S. Senator from Massachusetts who is running against President Bush (news - web sites), and Kerry has accused the Bush campaign of collaborating with Swift Boat Veterans for Truth.

On Monday, Bush called for the ads to be stopped.

Again, there was no mention of any other ads in this article but the Swifties ad....so people who weren't paying attention, probably didn't catch that Bush in fact said: ALL ads should be stopped.... and he called on Kerry to say so too...
