Hello Greg, the mainstream church I was speaking about is not the liberal/new age/unitarian universal everyone and anyone will be saved religion regardless of their relationship to Christ Jesus. It is mainstream fundamental christianity. And I can assure you that the vast vast majority of them do not believe that Christ will save all. The new age liberal group seem to be saying you can be saved by buddism, islam, hinduism, etc... They are wrong. Only through the death and resurrection of Christ will all be saved.

It is only through Christ that all will come to be saved. Those who "hear" the great commission in this life will live and reign with Christ after He returns bodily to collect those who are His.

The great commission is one of the means for the body of Christ to "hear". God opens the ears to hear and the eyes to see. Some will not hear or see in this life. Their part will be the lake of fire. The lake of fire is not the end because it is defined as the second death. And Christ will abolish all death, including the second death. Death will be no more. The abolition of death is an awesome act. It removes the wages of sin. Of course, sin itself will be removed before death is abolished.

Why should we bother to be a willing part of God's plan of the ages? I think you know the answer to that one Greg.

Have a great week and I always enjoy talking with you.
