What I find concerning about Bush is that he is unwelcome in Europe. The previous visits were very heavily guarded visits.

Compare that with Desert Storm. Bush Sr. worked with the nations of the world to form a true world coalition. The troops went sent in with a very specific objective. And when that objective was met, the President ordered the troops back. He refused to let the military to march into Baghdad. He got the respect of the world and America's prestige went up.

Now compare it to Iraq. This Bush rushed in when the world told him to hold off. He did not care for their opinion then, now they do not care for his opinion. He stated that his objective was to remove WMDs, then the objectives changed with time and now we are in a mess. Atrocities, the like of which Kerry testified in the Senate then continues even today in Iraq. We have only some reports of such atrocities in Abu Gharib. But we surely know there are plenty of those occuring where innocent civilians are being needlessly tortured to extract information, their heads are being cut off in the bargain I would suppose and the mess goes on.

It is about time that we have a President who has been to the battlefield, has first hand experience of the horrors of war and hence would use it very carefully.

Join me in voting for John Kerry on Nov. 2nd.
