Could you imagine if Bush stood up and announced: "I will be a commander in chief who will never lie about chasing down and executing an unarmed teenager. I will have a Vice President who will not enrich himself on the memories of dead and disabled babies. I will have a Secretary of Defense who will never accuse active duty soldiers of mutilating children. And I will appoint a National Security Advisor who won't steal documents from the National Archives." The whole frickin PRESS would go ballistic!!
