Someone at ARM seems to have faith in the deal -


ARM Holdings plc ('the Company') announces that on 23 August 2004, Jeremy
Scudamore, a non-executive director, bought 5,000 ordinary shares at 83.71p and
on 24 August 2004 he bought 50,000 ordinary shares at 83.5p.

Jeremy Scudamore's resultant shareholding in the Company is 55,000 ordinary
shares representing 0.005% of the issued share capital.
