Also from the Sun link........... The 100-MHz Microsparc-IIep CPU that's powering the JavaEngine 1 is fabricated by LSI Logic Corp. in a 0.35-micron process. It operates at 3.3 V and dissipates 3.5 W. Ajmera said the device was designed conservatively so that the company could achieve a "high-volume price point"--$50 in 10,000-unit quantities. The JavaEngine 1 board is also aggressively priced; it will sell for $385 in 10,000-unit quantities.
