"For sale at the end of period" equals or greater than previous months. "Sold during period" trending down. I suspect the number of homes under construction and not sold yet would add to inventory for months to come. Looking at the real estate section of the Sunday paper, it appears that all home builders are now offering 3% commission to co-op brokers. That is a leading indicator. Will we soon see other incentives? Loan buy downs? Free upgrades?
