Redfish, Yours is a wrongheaded analysis and one i dont care to get into arguing about right now. Simples things like cold war ally, democracy would form the basis of the opposing view. I do agreee that the US has larger fish to fry in the area and that a more nuanced policy at this point might be a good thing. What i dont like about your post is when you refer to israel as " an insignificant little nation that means absolutely nothing to 90% of Americans". I wont make the charge of anti-semitism. I dont know you and for the time being i would like to think that you might not have realized the dual meaning of your remark. For the record Israel has the support of a majority of americans, polls consistently show. Mike
