So what? McCain-Feingold (like most 'campaign finance reform' bills before it) is a FARCE. The Supreme Court has already held (like Senator McConnell from KY, the Rep. Party's chief of fundraising likes to always remind people), that CASH is a form of protected political speech. As long as that is the law of the land, all these 'reforms' are just like trying to put a nail in Jello --- it just squishes out somewhere else. The only TRULY EFFECTIVE REFORM we could make would be to lift all restrictions of giving --- but MANDATE THAT ALL CONTRIBUTIONS BE FULLY DISCLOSED TO THE PUBLIC WITHIN 24 HOURS. Let the public make their own minds up.
