KT, I was talking about political parties, not ideologies. I was deeply involved in the local, and state, politics in Texas during the 60s, and 70s, and knew most of the candidates, on both sides, very well.
The good ole boys were not what is considered to be conservative today. They were more like rulers of the poor, and unwashed, back in those days, and the Democrat party was the one that allowed them to continue their undemocratic ways. They feared that the Republican party would take everything away from them, so the put their money, and their votes, including those they forced down their share croppers' throats. When the, finally, realized the the Democrat policy was to gather all of the money from every citizen, and let a select group of democrat elitist decide who would get what, they had to leave the democrat party. All sensible property owners did the same thing. The liberal democrat policy is the same as any socialistic regime. Take it all, keep the most of it, and dole out the meager remains. In other words, have total control over the citizenry, and by all means, confiscate all the guns, so they cannot retaliate when they found out the democrats has screwed them.
Don't try to tell me anything about Texas. I lived there from January, 1942, until January, 2001. I am still a Texan, at heart, and am very happy that the Texas democrat party has had their ears boxed.
Bush has never murdered anyone. LBJ, Bill Clinton, and Hillary Clinton, have. |
