"Iran not arab and has a huge population and a fair military. Israel is tiny and if engaged in an all out battle with iran leaves itself open to attack from egypt, syria, even jordan, not to mention terrorists, and palestinians."

You forgot the new Iraq. They would definitely be pro-Iran in such an event.

Egypt has received almost equivalent amounts of foriegn/military aid from the US as Israel has over the past 40 years. Egypt is more Arab than Persian and not normally inclined to join forces with Iranians. However, they have engaged Israel in war previously and seem more and more iching to go at it again, especially over the Palestinian issue. But just about any provocation would send their airforce into action. I would expect Jordan to remain nuetral and Syria to remain the dark underworld of Arabia.

In reality every political region of the world would have a major stake in an event like this. Let's hope it doesn't come to a head.
