Todd: John W. did post back to me an offer of $100 for the Gardeni, Kenya school project, I didn't solicit for donations from him or anyone else here on SI but would certainly accept donations from him or anyone else. If I recall I had made reference to "Papa" and tried to lighten things up a bit by referring to our recent trip to Kenya and my status as an "old" man by some Kenyans. I'll correspond with him via private e-mail; I don't know if his gesture has anything to do with trying to win anyone's favor on the Pluvia vs. Westergaard matter....but I also like to try to see some good out of situations as well and I do have a private passion for assisting educational issues in developing nations.
