Cleland was quoted as saying, at his very media-scripted appearance at the Bush ranch, "The question is, where is George Bush's honor? The question is where is his shame?" Cleland asked. "To attack a fellow veteran who has distinguished himself ... in combat, regardless of the political combat involved, is disgraceful."

Uh, somebody clarify this for me. Isn't attacking fellow veterans who had distinguished themslves in combat exactly, precisely what Kerry did himself in his testimony before Congress?

Can anybody explain this: why is it okay for Kerry to have done this to hundreds or thousands of vets, but not right for a group of vets to do it to Kerry?

And while we're at it, did Kerry ever demand that the MoveOn ads attacking Bush, including those equating him with Hitler, be taken off the air and off the web?

Can we spell double standard??
