Welcome to the thread, Sojourner. Ed Koch was always one of my fav Dems(it's an extremely short list)<g> Evidently there is at least one other intelligent Dem. He was on Hannity tonight & he's either the mayor of Cincinnati or another city in OH. Although he's liberal, he said that his fellow party members seem to have forgotten 9/11. He supports Pres Bush & said he intends to remain a Dem. It's encouraging to know there are still open-minded Americans who realize that partisanship is not always best for the overall good of the USA. In 2008 we can tell the hard-nosed politicians to take a hike & start focusing on the domestic agenda, adjusting trade agreements so that they include worker's rights & curtailing the outflow of quality jobs. Until then we need Bush & Cheney to keep fighting the War on Terrorism with a vengeance.
