Perhaps... I don't think he is disillusioned yet. My comment was more pointed at whether he has the stomach to survive being an underdog incumbant (if that is to be the case) without getting rattled. I think he will naturally trend toward further isolation, and farther and farther right as the media takes aim at his head, and his posture assumes a more defensive tact. What do you make of his "born again" piety. Was that just his way of leaving his troubled past behind him, or do you think it a was genuine spiritual awakening? Though I am no one to judge, I always suspected that it was a crafty maneuver designed to shed the anchor of his not-so-laudable younger years. does that makes me cynical...? heh
