I like and own some Alliance Properties AP.UN. They own some small and old office buildings adjacent to the main core of Toronto where the high rise huge office buildings are. I think that Toronto has a future, neglect it as the provincial government wants to do. The flood of immigrants comes here. They find their compatriots, even obscure nationalities like Georgians can do so. They can exist in their own language for a while. Toronto is the place to be. It is the cultural as well as the financial center of Canada. CAR.UN is also a possibility. If rent controls frighten you then don't buy it. I own a fair amount of CAR.UN. But frankly I think the best buys in real estate are in Europe. That's where most of my real estate share investment is.
