"...a lot is still conjectural, especially when predicting the actual behavior of the economy."

True!

But Bush's own economists (the private econometrics firm the WH hired to run the numbers from his tax plan using 'dynamic scoring', AND the WH Office of Budget and Management... came up with THE SAME PREDICTIONS that the non-partisan Congressional Budget Office (whose head is from the Bush campaign team) did:

WITHOUT SIGNIFICANTLY CUTTING SPENDING AND THE GROWTH OF GOVERNMENT, BY 'MID DECADE ('05 TO '06) THE BENEFICIAL EFFECTS FROM THE TAX CUTS BEGIN TO BE OVERWHELMED BY THE HARMFUL EFFECTS OF CONTINUED DEFICIT SPENDING... AND BY END-OF-DECADE WE ARE MUCH WORSE OFF THEN IF NO CHANGES HAD BEEN ENACTED AT ALL.

There seems to be little dispute about that at all. Even the President's numbers show the same thing.
