I am not sure the time frame is so dire, but I agree that there has to be movement towards cutting spending before the decade is out, in order to keep an even keel. That is the reason we need a solid Republican majority in both houses of Congress, and Dubya in the White House, so there is a clear mandate to cut spending, and it is an achievable goal.......
