C B -- some when in the position you found yourself just try for a settlement, halfheartedly. After the lawyer departs comes EEO, MSPB, NLRB, etc. Some people look at WCOMP as a form of entitlement. Some people have even had an operation totally not required to support their claim! Sadly, there has been so much fraud in this area the truely injured often have found additional obstacles with their claims.
