Yeah, but Lindy, just the fact that Falwell has to comment on it means that they're worried at least a bit about political fallout.

Is there a chance that they're planning to drop Cheney from the ticket and thought those comments might make his dropping out more palatable to the 'base'?

Just wondering, since he could have said what he said at anytime during the last 4 years and he waits till now to do it. Just seems like bad timing if you're trying to really rally the troops.
