Could this whole swiftvet thing be intended to not only damage Kerry, but also to cool the jets of Kerry's 527 backers?

The Swift Vet story is so simple a lot of people refuse to believe it. They are a small group of gutty little vets who came out of nowhere to destroy John Kerry. I pronounced him a "dead man walking" last Friday when the story went national.

Even in this short of a period they have managed to wipe out the Democratic campaign. The major media doesn't even realize what has happened yet. They are in full "coverup" mode trying to, as they are quoted as saying, "kill this snake." One of the campaign reporters riding with Kerry was quoted as saying, "won't somebody put a stake in this vampire?"

They started off with a Book that O'Neil wrote this spring. They raised $150,000 among themselves, and got $100,000 from a Texas construction guy. With that pitiful amount of money they bought ads in three of the battleground states. The ads broke THREE weeks ago. O'Neil said today, "The vast majority of our money - some 32,000 individual donations totaling $2.2 million - have come from the public generally in one of the largest genuine outbursts of public support in political history." That's an AVERAGE of less than $67 per person.

So all the big time money now is going to be wasted. Soros can spend his entire fortune, he won't stop this tidal wave.
