Sorry, can't comment on a swap ratio - my tarrot cards are out being stripped and waxed. It's an interesting situation - LU has stated their interest and intention of making some significant networking acquisitions, and at the same time turned their noses up at the lofty valuations of some companies. I think Bay was the consensus first choice, but their PE is getting up there with the likes of Ascend. 3Com is far more affordable on a valuation basis.

I don't think anything major is going to happen in the near term, because if my memory serves correctly, LU can't to a pooling transaction until mid-1998.

As far a keeping track of my predictions, I don't remember if you were hanging around these parts back then, so here's my crown jewel:
