Now for real issues: More and more Americans in poverty under Bush, more unemployed and fewer and fewer can afford health care. That plus record spending deficits, the huge blunders in Iraq and the carte blanche to polluters and energy gougers are the legacy of this president.

The worst president performance-wise in modern history, though a clever down and dirty campaigner. When it comes to smear campaigns against war heros and lying to fool voters Bush is very smart. At least in the short term.
