If you have or can get PointCast; you might be able to find this dialog re. Novell. The dialog was between Richard Scocozza, technology analyst at Brown Brothers Harriman with CNNfn's John Defterios. A partial:

"DEFTERIOS: First of all, let's start with Novell. The 35-cent loss was much worse than you were expecting, right?
SCOCOZZA: Yes, the numbers came in about 11 cents worse than we were
expecting, mostly due to the fact that they didn't ship any box product into the channel
in the quarter. They're doing a good job on the expense side, and we expect that loss
to mitigate somewhat. We were expecting a 2-cent loss in the fourth quarter, and then
we expect them to return to profitability in fiscal `98.
DEFTERIOS: Is there a market for their product? Is the product good enough to keep
this company humming along?
SCOCOZZA: Well, the real question with Novell is what do they do for mediocre
revenue growth? And the core products are not the answer. The core product Net
Ware is getting beaten pretty badly by Microsoft and their Windows NT server
product. They really need to put some new wood on the fire, and they're working to
do that."
