If you feel that your nation is waging an unjust war, and that the men you served with are dying for no real purpose, how do you go about ending that unjust war? You argue against the war and it's objectives. You don't besmerch an entire nation and the men who are still on the battlefield. We can quibble long about what he tried to do but there is no doubt in my mind he f****d up on HOW he went about it. He provided lockerroom material for the enemy. There is NO doubt about that.
