The middle class is full of people who will wrap their kids in a flag and send him off to die for an illusion without questioning the leaders. They console themselves into thinking it's somehow patriotic and macho to do it. The middle class is a sort of breeding machine for the wealthy. The reasons for going into wars are spun in different ways so that many will buy into the cause. Bush has changed his reasons for attacking Iraq several times now.....WMD's, Terrorist support, immediate threat, liberation of people, new democracy,etc...........take your pick from the pile. If our freedom was at stake I would pick up a rifle and go fight myself. It isn't and it's obvious. We should have learned from the mistakes of Vietnam and applied those lessons to Iraq. Our country isn't able to make progress in Iraq based on knowledge of Vietnam because the leaders we have now didn't learn anything from Vietnam..............they weren't there and they refuse to listen to the men that were.
