I caught an interview with Schachte. The other Swiftboat vets say he was always along when the skimmer was used & Schachte said he indeed was with Kerry that night. Kerry's group says Schachte wasn't along on the mission.
Here we go again. This is Kerry's 1st Purple Heart incident and it was the only purple heart awarded in Vietnam that didn't have an after-action report attached to it. Most importantly, the request was not made until 3mos after the incident which is really suspicious.
