Military records and glory – what about of those who are challenging Kerry! <font size=3> Babul Sengupta, Special Correspondent If you are going to say – well Kerry is not as dignified a military veteran as he portrays, then it is your fundamental responsibility to come out with your own military record and glory. For example some right wing conservatives are trying to picture Kerry as liar and portray him as a fake veteran who tries to show himself as a hero. The problem is that those who are blaming Kerry should first come out with their own records if possible. Let us not bring Bush into picture because his records are already out and are also controversial. Interestingly, Bush is not blaming Kerry directly but allowing these satellites cause stir. Bush should come out and distance himself from these rightwing rich people’s sons and daughters who never really cared to go and join the military in the first hand. Without naming these people, we can easily say those who are blaming Kerry have zero military glory behind them. If we are wrong we challenge them to come forward and declare what were their sacrifice for America – what was their veteran records. The election may turn into a fiasco of personal attacks and making other look sloppy! Right now Kerry is gaining ground because these right wing media hawks have just made sure people dig into Kerry’s records more and really find out how good he was and is! Personal attacks may work against Bush or Kerry this time. Though Kerry is portrayed as “Flip-Flop” guru, fact of the matter is America has run out of talking real stuff after what happened in Iraq especially with WMD, intelligence failure and faltering US economy. Again media giants please come out with your own records before blaming either Bush or Kerry! indiadaily.com
