peter,

While you've got me on a role, I'll also mention SIBIA Neurosciences (SIBI). This is a little company working with big science. They are engaged in developing small molecule therapeutics for nervous system disorders including Parkinson's disease, Alzheimer's disease, stroke, depression, head trauma, epilepsy, chronic pain, schizophrenia and other neurological, psychiatric and neurodegenerative disorders. Their lead compound SIB-1508Y for Parkinson's disease is in Phase I clinicals. They have a number of collaborations with major pharms. They also have a pile of cash. The market cap is about $63.9 million and cash & equivalents come to $37.8 million. The ratio of market cap to cash is about 1.7--ridiculously low considering the diversity and richness of SIBI's research program. It is hard to believe you can buy it so cheap.
