Well, the Iran Contra investigation took years and netted little, which doesn't mean there was nothing there, only that when push came to shove, nobody was willing to risk the political capital it would take for a resolution. Sorta like Whitewater. It took Israel something like 11 years to admit that Pollard was their guy. The wheels in Washington don't turn fast, nor do they grind very fine, but there is all the time in the world for the real story to come out. As for affecting the 2004 election, no, I don't see it based on what we see so far. Lawrence Franklin lives in West Virginia, 80 miles from Washington, unlike Joe Wilson and Valerie Plame, who live in a tony neighborhood not too far from Georgetown Med. Nobody vs. somebody.
