Its not established that he is a war hero until and unless these accusations are decisively refuted.

In general I think accusations like these are too easy to make and shouldn't get much consideration if they are made by people who where not there or who don't have really solid evidence but the people making these accusations where there, unlike the people making the accusations that Kerry supported in congressional hearings back in the 70s. A lot of them only lid about being at the times and places they described, a number of them only pretended to be in Vietnam, some of them where not even in the military or where not who they said they where.
