Personally, whether one served or didnt serve in Nam (unless of course they ran off to Canada) has absolutely NO MERIT for or against becoming President of the USA. CHARACTER to me is as important as anything else. Bush has proven through his term (thus we have DEFINITE record to exam) that he has Character. Whether you agree or disagree with any of his specific programs, you cannot fairly say he lacks character. There will NEVER be a President where we all agree with everything he or she does, but we can agree about their intentions and their character. The reason Kerry HAS ABSOLUTELY REFUSED to talk about his RECORD is cause he LACKS CHARACTER and that would surely show up upon a close examination of HIS record. So, he chose to push his 4 mos in a war zone, probably figuring no one could get to his REAL RECORDS if he wont sign his 180 form and thus he could HYPE it to his hearts content. Luckily 240 or so BRAVE PATRIOTS have STEPPED UP TO THE PLATE once again to PROTECT US as they did so many years ago. They didnt have to do it, they have absolutely NOTHING to gain from it, and a HELL OF A LOT OF PAIN to endure for doing it. We should be congratulating them not attacking them. jdn
