I'm in Fort Myers and we are just getting back to semi-normal. Our barrier islands are still only partially open and the poorer counties including Charlotte are still without power in some places. Looking at Frances is not that thrilling. I just donated all my water and supplies to a truck going to Arcadia. Back to the store and this time, making reservations starting Wednesday. They can always be cancelled.

I've started following this group: Storm 2k. which is composed mainly of weather geeks and weather professionals. They have models that go further out that the NHC. Some feel that the NHC doesn't like to model further than 5 days as they do not want to create a media frenzy. I get frenzied enough just lurking there.
