New Enhancement Extends Interoperability of Powerful Enterprise Production Management(TM) Solution
ORLANDO, Fla., Aug. 25 /PRNewswire/ -- SAPPHIRE '97, Booth # 1335 -- New Dimension Software (Nasdaq:DDDDF - news) today announced that its CONTROL-M Option for R/3 module is now available for Windows NT-based R/3 installations. The new enhancement extends the interoperability of the Company's Enterprise Production Management suite by allowing the company's CONTROL-M enterprise production control and scheduling software to support jobs in SAP R/3 systems running on Windows NT. With CONTROL-M, operations personnel can easily manage and automate the set up, scheduling and extension of processes running across a multi-platform computing environment
CONTROL-M Option for R/3 allows users to automate the scheduling and management of ABAP/4 programs and R/3 jobs, providing a flexible, robust solution for managing enterprise-wide production within and outside of the R/3 environment. The option also allows operations personnel to define and run SAP jobs directly from CONTROL-M, and to analyze the SAP job log as part of CONTROL-M's SYSOUT facility.
The newly added support for Windows NT enables CONTROL-M Option for R/3 users to manage R/3 jobs running on the Windows NT platform as well as other systems -- from defining and monitoring R/3 jobs to defining and managing dependencies between R/3 jobs.
CONTROL-M Option for R/3 is also available for several other operating systems including AIX, HP-UX, Solaris, Digital UNIX and AS/400 running the R/3 application server. The solution is immediately available from New Dimension Software with prices starting at $34,560. CONTROL-M is currently the industry's only production scheduling solution to support all platforms supported by R/3.
