'You are making up excuses for our policies, whether they are right or wrong. Israel can handle Syria. Iraq was emasculated. Iran is an issue, but the world recognizes the threat they pose. Sharon was pushing Bush continuously to take out Iraq. Do not rewrite history so soon. Our policies of letting Israel do pretty much what she wants even when wrong, has been a disaster for the US. I still think it would be cheaper for the US to guarantee Israel at 67 borders, put troops over there and thereby remove all excuses for Israel to get out of the territories and have no exuse to remain. To get Israel to return land to Egypt the US had to guarantee to Israel its oil needs. Why not this.
