But Kerry has more depth than Bush .....

.......... It just takes a damn truck of shit smacking him in the face to get him riled up. The guy is catatonic sometimes.

Bush is going to push Kerry too far. Then Kerry is going to really start defending himself with offensive reckless abandon. That will reenergize the Democratic Party. The best defense is a good offense. Score points on a constant basis and your defense is on the bench all the time. That's Bush. That should be Kerry.

I must admit I took a brief respite from the campaign news and watched the fabulous Olympics. I'm going to have to get back into it.

I told a grocery clerk (30 year old woman) the other day that I was amazed that Bush has gotten away with blowing $150 billion in Iraq. I had to repeat the figure to her three times before it registered. This public is semi-literate. It doesn't realize that the children of Middle America are either being sent to die in Iraq or are being left behind here in the U.S. to carry the freight on an incredible loan. Bush doesn't even pay for the War in Iraq. It's incredible. It's fantasy. It's not even a sensible fight against terrorists. Really, it has increased terrorism.

Talk about a self-fulfilling prophecy. Many on Wall Street don't want to change administrations during a war. What war? Israel was having terrorist attacks on a monthly basis throughout the '90s and they attempted to live normal lives. They never considered themselves in a perpetual state of war. But with one terrorist attack--GRANTED, HUGE!--and the United States has now gone into a perpetual state of war.

Yeah, Kerry has a chip on his shoulder. It's not so bad. But Bush's chip causes him to be on the defensive so regularly and so well that he is really on the offensive. Like I've said many times, he's even turned the United States Department of Defense into the United States Department of Offense.
