How can you say that the US has "allowed" Israel to what it wants? Israel has been restrained from attacking Iraq and Iran and most likely Syria. Israel went through a period where it suffered the equivalent of 9/11 on a weekly basis. Yet, because of our pressure, they did not react as we have. For better or worse, Israel and the US are in a war together, with more in common than divergence. As far as a solution goes, there can't be one until the Palestinians get a government that can control its own people and authorize a PM who will be able to enter into, what has been a dirty word to Arafat, and that is "negotations." Israel is willing to give up land. There have been stories circulating within the past 2 weeks, quoting an Israeli general, that Israel could give up the Golan for real peace. The focus here should be on the real enemies of freedom, the Jihaddists, the OILogarchs and the tyrants who control most of the Middle East.
