The pop that Bush got in the polls to pull even with Kerry is because of his rallying his base. He did not win over any undecideds. A month ago they were not so enthusiastic about coming out to vote for Bush but decided to do so after the Swiftvets ads.

But the next 60 days would be crucial to those folks. They may decide to stay home after they see how things fare in Iraq. Soldier number 1000 dying in Iraq would be significant to them. The effect of the high price of oil would severely impact the economy which would be another factor for their staying at home. Then you would have issue of illegal immigration which Kerry would bring to the forfront after the Republican convention.

Stay tuned.

"Mr. Bush where were you when the country needed you. I was there when the country needed me."
...John F. Kerry
