LPS5 > [It is also known that he collaborated with the US and the KLA in Kosovo.]That's not at all how I understand it. If you can show me a credible article pointing conclusively to this I'll be glad to accept it

You have asked me once before and I have shown you.

kosovo.com

Furthermore, some of the links which I posted also refer to Al Qaeda's involvement in Kosovo. As I have said before, I cannot supply "credible", I can only supply what there is.

> So, by your method of reasoning:
(a) everything happens for a reason;
(b) there are no mistakes or erroneous assumptions; and,
(c) any benefits must be tangible or readily apparent

(a) Sure
(b) Frequently
(c) Benefits MUST accrue to someone. Terrorism is a tactic, not an end in iteslf. Despite the demonization by the US administration of certain individuals, I would contend that, unless someone is a proven psychopath, they do not kill others just for the fun of it. So, according to my argument, terrorism is done for a reason. As I see it, the result of Al Qaeda's terrorism has been to make people hate Muslims, especially Islamic fundamentalists. No benefit has accrued to any Islamic institution that I am aware of. If you are aware of any benefit which has befallen any REAL Muslim country or institution (not spooks!), I would be very interested to know about it. I have read various Muslim comments about Al Qaeda and, one and all, despise the organization as being completely "Anti-Islamic".

> I have seen absolutely nothing here (or elsewhere) implying, conclusively - other than with laughably liberal doses of conspiratorial invention - that "al Qaeda is a U.S. proxy."

I will respond by suggesting there are none so blind as those who will not see. Further, I don't know why you think this is humorous. People are suffering and are being killed all the time. You may not agree with the various theories about what is going on but there is nothing funny about them. Further, I don't think it helps to be contemptuous about those who think differently from yourself. History has shown that many advances in science and in human endeavor, generally, have occurred in the face of contempt by others, and particularly the establishment, which has invariably be proven wrong.
