I agree with that completely.

But (aside from some sporadic efforts to roll-back regulations) there seems to be little or no effort towards actually SHRINKING the size of government.

That was one of the main points in the article --- but it was painful to see it actually spelled out in such bald language: BOTH Parties have embrassed Big Government, and the Reaganite/Gingrich 'Small Government' Libercons have been banished to the wilderness.

Perhaps they will one day emerge from the wilderness... and help to pick up the pieces....
