That statement comes from the fundamentalist point of view. THey claim that when their Pastor talks the words of God are coming from his mouth. THat's why so many fools in the congregation give up every penny so the pastor can live like a King.THe Pastor thinks he is one!! It's also where we end up with the David Koresh's of the world. The fundamentalists all think they are the special, chosen ones. Their Pastors and their families think they are privileged . Pat cause they are the leaders of the faith.
