Well, that being the case, Lindy, I am now in the process of rewriting the account so that it will reflect my true bravery in the face of enemy potential fire and my undaunted spirit as I beached my attack boat, a sunfish, right there on the shores of Lake Michigan only a few blocks from the battle site. I almost ran down a little old lady pushing her grandson in a stroller in order to get to the morning confrontation on time.

Now, Lindy. What about it. Will you submit this revised account of my heroics, allow it to go up the chain of command all the way to the autosignature machine.

I am truly deserving. And I promise not to use the V in my next political campaign--unless I think that I can get away with it.
