Can you believe we have to worry about this crap so soon again?

"I'm just wondering if Florida is under the gun should I worry about hurricane force winds here in Clearwater. I was a long range model showing a landfall in SFL and exiting south of Tampa. What can I expect if that plays out?"

"If you are, then you must prepare as if it will strike the West Coast. This storm is not like Charley. It is much larger at this time with projected gale force winds 140 miles from the center on all sides. Even a sustained winds at 65-70 MPH with gusts higher than that can still cause substantial damage to mobile homes, trees, and power lines. Just prepare and don't wait until it is too late."
