I happen to agree with them, but I don't agree that legislation alone will change the hearts and minds of a society that is becoming more and more accepting of homosexuality as a lifestyle. How can you not be accepting of people who, by their own admission, do not have control over their sexuality? If people could choose their sexuality, then you might have an argument. But most scientists agree that sexual preference is determined by DNA. Let me put it this way: If homosexuality ought to be outlawed, then so should adultery. Now guess how many members of Congress would be thrown in jail if that were to become law? How can you outlaw homosexuality? Again, its not a choice. People choose to commit adultery; to my knowledge, people do not choose to be gay. And please, be clear I am not a proponent for outlawing adultery; I am just saying its a more reasonable choice than homosexuality. ted
