Personally, I feel that USC would have still won. Our guys in the 4th qtr had run out of steam and Randall was having a hard go of it. Norm Chow had played it close all night and really not had that many long balls. Tech's safety was inching up on most plays to stuff the run and the short passes and when they went long we were out of position.

The defensive line was not putting the rush on that they had in the first half and gave the qb an extra second or two. It was a gallant effort but in the end you have to hand it to USC. They made the plays when they had to.
