John O'Neill, who served in the year followin Kerry's leaving VN, is the fellow who told Nixon he'd been in Cambodia.

Kerry's gunner, Gardner, said Kerry's Cambodia story was crap. But we already knew that because Kerry's day-by-day Vietnam journal contradict the Cambodia story. In particular, his joural, used as a source for Tour of Duty, say Kerry spent a peaceful Christmas in a S Viet town over 50 miles from Cambodia.

You can be sure if Kerry had been in Cambodia he'd have included that in his journal (he was fervent in documenting his tour, even using a movie camera to re-record incidents). And he'd release the journals to prove his Cambodia stories.
