There is a singular event that took place last week whose significance we failed to notice. It is Islam's rebuff to terrorism and violence with Ayatollah Ali Sistani ordering the radicals out of the holy shrine. He invoked the name of God to win the peace and he succeeded.

The secret towards taking a giant stride in the war against violence and terrorism is to get together with the Islamic clergy such as the likes of Ayatollah Al-Sistani etc. This President, on the other hand, serves as a front for fundamentalist Christians like that idiot on TV yesterday last night who said he is going to vote for Bush because "he is a Christian."

You cannot have a American President who wears his religion on his sleeve. You cannot have folks like General Boykin leading troops to fight a war and telling his troops that it is a religious war and Christianity should prevail. You cannot have as President someone who had a "slip of the tongue" in the early days of the operation and called this "a inquisition."

President Kerry would cast aside the religious interference from this war and get all the religions together to fight against the terrorists. Kerry is not going to tell the world that he "ordered the US military because God told him to."
